Seafarers has taken out the Design Excellence award at the Urban Development Institute of Australia Awards for Excellence as announced at the 25th Annual Awards for Excellence Gala Lunch held on the 18th of March 2021. This award recognises a project for excellence in design across quality, innovation, sustainability, architecture, and community integration.
With a vision to revitalise the unique and interesting industrial past of Melbourne’s Northbank, Seafarers is transforming the city’s last remaining expanse of undeveloped riverside land with a design-led philosophy.
Bringing together the exceptional design team of Fender Katsalidis, Oculus, CARR Design and ODO, Seafarers presents an opportunity to live in an award-winning precinct, recognised for its exceptional quality.
As the last remaining waterfront opportunity in the CBD, the Seafarers site was deserving of something extraordinary and through 1 Hotel, Seafarers Residences and Seafarers Rest, the site will once again come alive, reminiscent of the buzzing port that came before it.
