Whether you’re driving along Wurundjeri Way or tuning into Channel 9’s live coverage of Melbourne’s weather, it’s hard to miss Seafarers these days. Three tower cranes and two branded jump forms stand tall above the ground, signifying the construction progress being made by Icon.
The site is now entirely activated with construction works – dirt has been replaced with fresh concrete as the structure makes it way up to Level 18. The Basement, Ground Floor and Level 1 and Level 2 slabs are now complete, with Level 3 pours underway. The pace remains steady under the winter sun with 2-3 pours weekly, aiming for top-out by February 2024. See the latest construction activity HERE
The completion of the Ground Floor structure was a major milestone due to the extent of services required for 1 Hotel Melbourne’s bar and restaurants. Now complete and ready for fit out to commence later in the year, it won’t be long until you can sip on one of 1 Hotel’s signature cocktails.
